Hello all, I’m Chaz :)

I began my yoga practice at a young age, working with a teacher who offered me a space to exist purely and authentically as I was. I remember those sessions fondly, my teacher gave me the gift of truly seeing me and holding space for whatever needed to surface. She provided a sacred, playful, and safe environment for healing that I strive to emulate in my teaching today.

With a background in psychology, I spent time working at a mental health facility as well as with survivors at a crisis center. Through accompanying our clients to regular yoga classes, including trauma-informed yoga, it became clear that my intention to help individuals heal could be realized through teaching yoga directly. I became a certified RYT-200 through YogaRenew, and received a certification in Trauma-Informed Yoga Facilitation from Embodied Directions, and have had the absolute joy of teaching group classes and private sessions to an incredible range of individuals, each with their own unique journey.

Sound healing found me as another deeply moving and intuitive practice. Through the use of singing bowls, the voice, and other instruments to create healing atmospheres, I have witnessed individuals open their hearts, reconnect with their inner being, and find true peace and rest. This practice has been incredibly healing within my own being, and sharing it in community continues to be deeply fulfilling and meaningful.

My goal has always been to help people find safety and peace within themselves. Creating space for people to compassionately come back to their bodies, find stillness and freedom in their minds, and open their hearts through the practices of Yoga and Sound Healing is a calling I am ever grateful for. I hold these practices with the highest love and gratitude, and I warmly welcome you to join me in experiencing them.

Blessings to you,

Chaz Marie
